Dimitri Livas

I finished my studies in Psychiatry in 1994, along with my training in Group Analysis in the IOAAthens . During my training years, I had fair experience not only of group analytic groups but also of the Therapeutic Community, which I conducted for two years and enjoyed the opportunity of attending twice the Windsor Conference for the TCs.

As concerns my wider political activity, I had the chance to be a member of the Board and a president for two years, of the Association for the Rights of Mental Patients: Freedom is Therapeutic between 1990 and 2007.

Since 1995, I have been working in my private practice in Athens and as a trainer and research staff in the Open Psychotherapy Center. I have also served as first President (1998-2004) and still serve as member of both the Ethics and New Members Committee (2004- today) of the National Organization for Psychotherapy of Greece, member of EAP.

In my capacity as member of GASi, I had the honor of serving both in the Scientific Committee for the 2014 Lisbon  GASi Symposium and  in the MC and SC  of the 2026 Athens Symposium ,as well as in the staff of the 2016 Summer School in Athens. Last, but not least, I represent IOAAthens as a delegate in EGATIN since 2014.
