Contemplative Groups, 2021
Contemplative Group Dynamics is a mindfulness exercise that uses speech to articulate the foundations of mindfulness: body sensation, feeling tone, mental/emotional events and experience. Speech links body and mind and gives name and form to perceptions. The group practices making transitions between silence and speech, private and shared, self and other. The contemplative group dynamic stabilizes and clarifies the practitioner’s capacity to be without distraction.
The structure of each day will be silent and group practices of mindfulness supported by talks, discussions and movement. Thus together we will enquire into the nature of reality as we deepen mindfulness practice as a group. Weekly and monthly Groups start in February.
Facilitators: Lawrence Ladden and Jale Cilasun
