I am a group analyst, a psychotherapist, psychodynamic counsellor, clinical supervisor/ trainer and organisational consultant in various settings, and I currently live in London where I hold a private practice. I am UKCP (CPJA) registered M.Inst. GA (UK), UKCP (CPJA) reg. and a member of CLGD, ALG and GASi communities.

Based on my rich and diverse experiences, professionally and personally, I see myself as an intersectional internationalist which constitutes my group analytic positionality. I was born in Iran, however, since the mid-1960s I have been living, studying, working in different parts of worlds, ranging from Tehran, Los Angeles, Berlin and now London. Since 1984. as a political refugee, I have been part of Political Refugees Communities in diaspora. These experiences have developed various skills, knowledge and capacities in dealing with differences and similarities, challenges and conflicts, in particular, the issues around power, position and privileges in various settings.

I have also had the opportunity and privilege to gain diverse educational background ranging from Political Sciences, Law, MBA, and Psychoanalytical and Group Analytical trainings.  I have an extended work experiences in public, private and voluntary sectors in UK and internationally.  In recent years I have also been involved with some of the training Institutes, such as Tavistock Relationship and Institute of Group Analysis in London. Since 2015, I have been member of IGA- International Course Committee – ICC and over the last few years had the role of ICC link person for GA-India training and with GA-Rwanda as a clinical supervisor. Having completed MBA degree from UCLA in 1970s, I worked as a system analyst and developed a special interest in organisational dynamics and organisational consultancy and have worked in a capacity of payroll/ human resource manager for 19 years in UK. As a practicing group analyst, I have developed the capacity to be a team player, how to be led and to lead, when and if needed.

I hope I would be able to use and to share some of above knowledge, skills and experiences as member of GASi Management Committee.
