Athena Chatjoulis

Athena Marouda – Chatjoulis, Msc., Phd., is Social Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Group Analyst. She is As. Professor in the Media and Communication Department, University of Athens. She has completed herpost-graduate and doctoral studies at London School of Economics, UK.

She is supervising and group training analyst, and former member of the board of the Hellenic Society for Analytic Group & Family Psychotherapy. Since 2001 she is President and Scientific Director of the Institute ofPsychosocial Development (I.Ψ.A.), Larissa, Greece. She has long experience in group analysis.

She has undertaken community interventions programs and several research projects and surveys in the fields of social psychology and clinical social psychology. She has published in several Greek and international journals and she is the author of a book with the title ‘The need to belong, Groupshness and Conflict in Groups, A Psychodynamic Approach’.

She is full member of the Group Analytic Society, UK.  She is member of the group section and has been board member of European Federation of psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (EFPP).
