GASI Fund Report
There have been changes to the GASIF committee. We were sorry to say goodbye at the end of 2023 to two longstanding members, founders of the fund itself – Earl Hopper and Robi Friedman. David Glyn had stood down in September when his presidency came to an end. GASI and GASIF have much for which to be grateful to them for the thoughtfulness and hard work they have contributed.
Peter Zelaskowski became a new member just before Marit Milstein and Francesca Bascialla joined as new GASI Co-chairs. Viv Harte was with us briefly while co-chair and acting Treasurer. Membership Secretary, Alice Mulasso, is on board now too. The greater presence of MC members is enabling the committee to consider bursaries, subsidies, grants for group-analytic projects etc as a whole. Currently, focus is on the Summer School in Turin: the greater the amount of donations received, the more bursaries can be funded. Donations can be made in the Members’ Area of the GASI website.
The new GASI accountants are putting in place Gift Aid for the significant number of UK tax-paying members which will increase their donations by 25%. You will hear more when this is finalised.
