Reflections Through Images

Marcus Price

Turin is an amazing city and was a great place to attend a GASi summer school. I managed to visit the Royal Art Gallery and see Botticelli’s Venus and a small painting of some monks, one with a stigmata by Jan Van Eyck, painted in the early 1400’s, an extraordinary work of art which I found moving and unforgettable.

A fine bunch of people attended the school and there were lots of chances to have conversations and learn. I was encouraged to draw and quite a few joined in. I hope I’m not the only one to send in pictures for contexts. Here are a few of my personal scribbled memories. I do apologise if you recognise yourself.
