Belgrade Symposium Bursary Fund Fundraising

Dear Colleagues

Firstly, our sincerest thanks to the so far 45 GASi members who have, since we started this campaign in February, very generously donated a total of 3620 pounds to the Belgrade Symposium Bursary Fund. This is a great start BUT, if the bursary fund is to meet the needs of our bursary applicants to attend the Belgrade Symposium, then WE STILL NEED MORE!

The great news is that the GASIF Committee has AGREED TO MATCH the above donations to the Bursary Fund to the tune of the first 5000 pounds donated!!! That doubles the donations already made!! Please keep donating…because the next 1400 pounds donated will be matched by GASIF.

More good news is that the GASi Finance Committee has also agreed to contribute an additional 5000 euros from the Jane Abercrombie Fund.

We have made the process of donating as straightforward as possible. To make a donation, CLICK on the following link:

We estimate that if about a quarter 0f all GASi members (that’s about 200 people) each donated the average cost of a therapy session in the country where they practice, then we would move a very significant step closer to achieving our goal of properly supporting our colleagues. The deadline we have set for offering a bursary is at the end of March, however any donation during April will still add to the fund and can be used…so THERE IS STILL TIME!

As a reminder, we have 52 applications from colleagues asking for financial support to cover the very significant costs (fees, travel and accommodation) of participating in the event this coming August. They come from Iran, India, Palestine, Israel, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Rwanda, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Germany and UK:

Many thanks once again in anticipation of your much needed support.
