Creating Large Group Dialogue
We have just completed our first year of Creating Large Group Dialogue – 5 weekends at Roffey Park Institute. Although often referred to as the Large Group course, the process is not didactic. We are from many backgrounds and countries, so the content of the work is fascinating, deep, encouraging and difficult, as we bump up against so many different cultural assumptions. It is in these moments that the swimming pool, sauna and sitting around a table with wonderful food helps us deepen our understanding of each other and the whole endeavour. It is through the experience of working together in the median group and bringing back the inevitable trial and error process involved in setting up a larger group or group project, that the learning occurs. Practice and theory are woven together in a rich and, yes, confusing situation. So, if you are interested, do come and join us.
