An Introduction

Rachel A. Chejanovsky

It is with great pleasure that I introduce Lars Bo Jorgensen who has written this article for the Group Analytic Dictionary. This is the fourth article in the GAD section in Contexts, and in it he deals with a compelling concept: Basic Law of Group Dynamics.

Lars is a Clinical Psychologist, Child Psychologist and Group Analyst. He is member of the Institute of Group Analysis in Copenhagen and member of GASi. He is a Delegate at EGATIN.

Lars has been a Board Member in IGA-CPH. Since 2008 he has been the Head of the Training Committee, and teaches and supervises on the Institute’s Training Program.

He is part of the Group Analytic Dictionary project since it began in Copenhagen in 2012.

I had the honour of meeting Lars since the project began, he is a serious and dedicated person with whom I enjoyed collaborating.

The idea of compiling the important concepts in Group Analysis is an endeavour that demands dedication and continuity. One of the interesting processes that the Group Analytic Society as a whole is actually experimenting with is creative innovation in the field. In this sense, the dictionary project is a living enterprise.  It is open to all our colleagues who are kindly invited to share and sharpen the ideas that the different concepts we are presenting in Contexts connote. You can write to the editor, or to the authors, it will be a welcomed contribution.
