Happy 2023!
I thought it was important to begin this editions editorial with a beautiful poem and sketch by Christina Kollias, one of our members from Greece, in memory of Mahsa Amini and for all girls and women who suffer at the hands of their oppressors across the globe.
We also remember Morris Nitsun in our obituary section. Condolences to his husband, Tony; family, friends, and colleagues (since writing this we heard of the sad news of the death of Tony Fagin on 12th December 2022).
Thank you to Malcolm Peterson who, after a number of years supporting GASi and Contexts in his role as Book Editor has decided to step down. Thank you Malcolm for all your good work. We welcome Francesca Mineo onto the Contexts team as the new Book Editor.
At the end of a very distressing year for many I thank all the contributors who have generously sent me articles, obituaries, memories, theoretical concepts. Without you, Contexts would not exist. Thank you to the regular contributors: Rachel Chejanovsky, Carmen O’Leary, Carla Penna, Meri Rizzi, Susanne Vosmer, and of course David Glyn.

Is it any wonder that dialogue can be tricky? I know I have missed many languages, but I hope I have included all of our GASi members. Wishing you a wonderful festive season however you celebrate, or not.
