After the completion of her academic studies at the Faculty of Medicine (University Statale of Milan, 1989), she has specialized in Psychiatry at the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic of the Thessaloniki Aristotle University (AUTh, 1999). At the 1th Psychiatric Clinic of the AUTh she received the Doctorate in Medical Sciences (2012). She worked as a psychiatrist at the NHS until 2012 and from 2000 until now she is working at her private practice.
She was trained at the IGA Athens from 1997-2004. From 2008 she is a trainer and the responsible person of the IGAA’s scientific and training activities organized in Thessaloniki: member of the Organizing Committee of the Introductory Course in Group Psychotherapy (Group Analysis, Family Therapy, Therapeutic Community etc.), lecturer, conductor of the experiential groups and the supervision group analytic group.
During her training she was the co-leader of the fortnight Therapeutic Community of the Open Psychotherapy Centre where she conducted many sociodynamic and psychodynamic groups (sociotherapy and art therapy groups, oneirodrama and psychodrama groups, large group, staff sensitivity group, staff meeting and group-analytic groups).
From 2000 until today as Scientific collaborator of the 1th Psychiatric Clinic of AUTh, besides research activities she provides seminars to undergraduate medical school and master students, nurses and medical staff. Her clinical experience pertains sociotherapy and art therapy group with acute inpatients, reflective practice group for the nurses, medical staff and for the specializing psychiatrists. From 2007 she is the responsible person for the clinic’s group psychotherapy activity and for a group analytic supervision group. She also conducts a fortnight reflective practice group, provides seminars to the staff and counselling-supporting psychotherapy to the parents of the preterm newborns at the 2nd Neonatal Intensive Unit Care of AUTh. Since 2019 she conducts a reflective practice group with midwifes of 1th Obstetric Gynecologic Clinic of AUTh.
In 2020 she was impelled by the citizens’ need for dialogue and a safe space to contain their anxiety and sadness due to Covid-19, to organize the first Thessaloniki teleconference “Reflective Citizens-Koinonia”, in cooperation with Dr. Marina Mojovic.
