Julia Borossa

Ex-officio Member as Editor, Group-Analysis

Julia Borossa has a clinical practice working with individuals and groups. She is a member of the Community Psychotherapy Network, Bethnal Green, East London as well as the Group Analytic Network– London. She also acts as a dissertation supervisor for students on the IGA qualifying course and is a member of the IGA’s International Courses Committee.

In addition to her group analytic training, she has an interdisciplinary academic background with an  MA in Comparative Literature from McGill University, Canada and a Phd in History and Philosophy of Science from Cambridge University, UK. She was the director of the Centre for Psychoanalysis at Middlesex University in the UK where her teaching and research interests centred on the histories, cultures and politics of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, with a particular emphasis on de-colonial and cross-cultural approaches.
