Marit Joffe Milstein

GASi Co-Chair, International Development Committee Chair, FC Acting Chair

M.A. EXTH, Psychodramatist, Supervisor, Group Analyst

I’m the current chair of the Israeli Institute of Group Analysis and a member of the IIGA board since I finished my Diploma course in 2009. I started my relationship with GA in 2006 as a student at IIGA. As a Training Psychodramatist (working with groups as with Individuals) I’ve been working since 1997, the same year in which I became a mother.

I run my private practice with Individuals, Families and Groups. After working at several hospitals and schools, I settled at the Shiba Hospital working with children, adolescents and families with eating disorders. During the last 6 years, I have co-conducted an ongoing monthly LG at the Mazor Psychiatric Hospital, a project I am very happy to be part of, from which I have learned a lot about organizational dynamics.

I’m a staff member of IIGA, teach groups at several colleges in Israel, and conduct supervision groups in various health, social and education organizations. I give many workshops combining expressive arts’ therapy and group analysis for team development, within small and large groups in various organizations.

My interest in GASi is connected to my wish to expand cross cultural activities, international focus, like those I took part in during my term in IIGA which is about to end in a year.

In 2013 & 2016, I co-chaired the 2nd and 3rd Israeli IIGA International workshops in Gonen, co-chaired “Civilians at war” International conference in Prague 2016, and I’m also one of the organizers of the German-Israeli Dialogue conference series:  “Voices After Auschwitz”, a co-creation I’m very proud to take part in. (Our 5th conference is already in process).

In my capacity as IIGA Chair, I initiated and was part of many conflict resolution projects in different communities in Israel, together with Robi Friedman and other Friends and members of IIGA.
